Just to let everyone know that the proposal to make it easier to install 20mph limits in Hertfordshire villages was voted down by 8 votes to 5 at at last weeks Highways Cabinet Panel meeting.
Although this is obviously a set-back, Therfield PC will continue to support the campaign (which is supported by our local HCC Councillor – Steve Jarvis).
There are quite a number of Hertfordshire villages signed up for this and there will now be further dialogue on what the next steps could be.
I have volunteered to represent the Parish Council at future Campaign meetings.
As I mentioned in my initial email, this will probably be a long road but I think still worth pursuing. I will let everyone know when next steps are arranged by posting on Chatter as well as the Parish Council website.
