Just over 40 villagers from Therfield and Kelshall came together at the Lunch Club on 12th February, enjoying socialising with one another over a glass of wine and a meal.
To spread the love close to Valentine’s Day, each participant received a chocolate heart and one of Jacquie’s delicious home made heart shaped biscuits with their drink at the end of the meal.
Table decorations also reflected the Valentine’s theme as did the raffle with Jimmy Laing holding the first ticket to be called and choosing the champagne and chocolates!
Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets as we raised £120 to support future Lunch Clubs.
Thank you too to the dedicated team of helpers, Sylvia Drury, Debbie Jeffries, Jacquie Kier, Linda Laing and Ann Murty. Thanks also to Joshua Jones for allowing us to use the Chapel and especially to Julie Harvey for all her help. We are delighted that so many villagers are attending these events; there are already 30 people signed up for the next Lunch Club on the 25th March.
